MyDigiCoop Partners Met for the Last Time Face-to-Face for the Final Meeting of the Project and Multiplier Event in Bilbao!

ACEEU finally had the opportunity to meet with MyDigiCoop partners face-to-face after working together for almost 2 year as its final transnational project meeting was held at Mondragon University in Bilbao, Spain. Hosted by HUHEZI, the event was organized on February 10, 2023, and attended by project partners. As MyDigiCoop project is finishing at the end of February 2023, the meeting offered an opportunity for partners to discuss the final steps before concluding the project. During the visit at Mondragon, partners also had a chance to visit a Mondragon Corporation to see how social cooperative entrepreneurship is implemented both and internationally.

Prior to the meeting, the consortium also joined HUHEZI in their International Conference “Social and Cooperative Economy in Higher Education” which was organized as the Multiplier Event of the project. The event was hosted in AsFabrik, one of the campuses of Mondragon University in Bilbao, Spain. The program for the day included several notable speakers, including the Rector of Mondragon University, Vicente Atxa, and Nagore Ipiña, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education at Mondragon University. The Spanish Minister of Universities, Joan Subirats, also joined the event online to discuss the topic of social and cooperative economy in higher education with a special focus on the case of Spain and Spanish universities in the 21st century. Other than the disseminating the results produced in the project, some good practices from Germany, Finland, Romania and Spain on how social cooperative entrepreneurship can be further promoted were also shared. Overall, the event was a great success. Not only did it achieve its objectives, but it also provided space and opportunity for discussion and exchange of experiences on the relevance and importance of social economy and cooperative work in higher education.

MyDigiCoop Training Event in Helsinki!

A three-day training event for the project MydigiCoop was organised by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences on 25th January to 27th January, 2023. The days were organised according to specific themes. The theme for Day-1 was “Introduction to Social Cooperative Entrepreneurship”. Beside introducing each partner’s role in social cooperative entrepreneurship, partners also visited Start-Up School, which supports both entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs by offering various courses and events for them. Our partners learned about the activities of our Start-Up School and enjoyed the visit.

The theme of Day 2 was “Sharing Best Practices”. We started the day by playing a new business game activity, which was led by ULBS. The goal of the game was to discover entrepreneurship education learning goals and the learning focussed on the process from an idea to establishment of an entrepreneurial university. In the afternoon, ACEEU representatives and co-founders of “Closd”, a start-up company in Muenster, Germany shared the German social entrepreneurial eco-system, and their social impact hubs and start-up accelerators. They also discussed about their excellent, sustainable company offering and their future plans.

The theme of Day 3 was “Innovative Co-production”, which was led by the representative of ACEEU, founder of Digital Mente. The theme of the workshop was effective digital communication for promoting social entrepreneurship (SE). Partners learnt about the role of social media in promoting SE, identifying best practices and success stories in using social media for SE ventures, content marketing and creating engaging social media content for SE initiatives.

The training event created a mutual beneficial opportunity for partners to learn a lot about social cooperative entrepreneurship model in different countries. We hope that social cooperative entrepreneurship model receives more recognition in the years to come as we believe it is the way forward towards a sustainable society.

Validation of the module’ content has been carried out!

ACEEU and MyDigiCoop partners proudly announce that the project has achieved another milestone of the project!

A couple months ago, the project communicated the first look of its E-Learning platform. Now, the learning modules which is part of the personalized learning paths created to facilitate the education and training of social-cooperative entrepreneurs are being finalized and soon to be uploaded to the learning platform.

The team in HUHEZI, KVC, ULBS and Haaga-Helia have been working their best to create the content and make sure that the modules meet their expectation. Two validation sessions have been conducted in Spain and Romania with students and teachers in order to gain feedback to improve them. The Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu – Romania (ULBS) invited 11 people, from whom 3 were teachers and 8 were students. The Faculty of Humanities and Education of Mondragon University- Spain (HUHEZI) invited 10 people, from whom 3 were teachers and 7 were students.

In the validation sessions, the participants were introduced to the platform and briefly reviewed the content of the modules that have been uploaded. Afterward, they completed questionnaires to evaluate the use of the platform and the clarity and usefulness of the modules.

In general, the validation sessions generated good results. The participants find the quality of the platform and how the learning modules are presented with very satisfactory level of satisfaction. The usefulness and effectiveness are well valued. Thanks to the participants, they gave very useful feedback and suggestions which will be implemented accordingly for the improvement of the platform.
