Meet the great people behind the project

HUHEZI at Mondragon University, Spain

The Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences is one of the four faculties that makes up Mondragon Unibertsitatea, a cooperative university that belongs to the MONDRAGON Corporation. With its broad experience in the development of social-cooperative entrepreneurship projects and practices, Mondragon University looks after the overall project management of MyDigiCoop and ensures the smooth development of all aspects of the project. Mondragon University will also lead the first Intellectual Output of the project and contribute to the second Output according to its expertise and know-how.

Nagore is eager to learn more and go deeper into digitalization in Education from an innovative perspective. She is also passionate about multilingualism with a particular interest in pluriliteracies. She takes part in several programs and believes that education is key for social transformation.

Ainara holds a Bachelor in English Studies and PhD in Language Acquisition. Her research interests are in the filed of innovation in education, digital pedagogy, multilingualism and multilingual education.

Ane believes that education is one of the most important tools to change the world. That is why she thinks that personalization is fundamental in teaching-learning processes since each person is unique. In order to achieve that, she considers that digitalization gives us many opportunities to create the most appropriate personalized path, always underlining the importance of techno-pedagogical vision.

Ainara firmly believes in the value of the co-operative formula. Her work has been focus on the understanding of the Mondragon cooperative model and on finding ways to strengthen the cooperative and social aspects of the cooperatives. She considers the cooperative education as one of the most powerful tools for reinforcing and developing socio-cooperative enterprises.

Researcher at the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences

Arianne’s main lines of research revolve around the cooperativism of Mondragon. She learns and research about cooperatives linked to the cooperative experience of Mondragon; cooperative governance; intercooperation; impact of cooperativism in the territory; operational dimensions and practices of cooperativism such as cooperative statutes, and intercooperation mechanisms and tools.

Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (ULBS), Romania

Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (ULBS) is a major driver for social progress, mastering a proactive involvement in designing the future and expanding the frontiers of knowledge for both citizens’ and society’s benefit. Its mission is to promote excellence in the educational and research processes applied to a wide range of disciplines. Based on the university background and profile, ULBS will lead the second Intellectual Output of the project as well as participate in the rest of the activities and tasks.

Lecturer at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu

Valentin holds a bachelor’s degree in Economic Engineering from the Mechanical Domain and International Marketing. He completed his Master’s in Industrial Business Administration and received a PhD in Engineering and Management. Valentin is passionate about sustainable development and entrepreneurial education. He believes that an entrepreneur is a problem solver, and that the entrepreneurial mindset can be applied to solve social problems. He organizes hackathons, mentoring and pre-acceleration programs for students and he enjoys helping them bring their ideas to life.

Alma holds a bachelor and master in Business Administration and a PhD in Marketing. She is a Fulbright-RAF alumna in developing an entrepreneurial ecosystem. Alma loves working with students. As a Lecturer Ph.D. at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, her classes focus mainly on marketing. Besides teaching, Alma is one of the founding members of the Working Group for Entrepreneurship Education, organizing events, delivering workshops and helping students connect to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sibiu. Ambitious and open to discovering new things, Alma continues to expand her knowledge and gain experience by constantly pushing herself out of her comfort zone, getting involved in different projects and meeting new people.

Mircea holds a PhD in Marketing and teaches at the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu. He is passionate about research in the fields of marketing, social media and its influence on individuals, as well as in project management and photography. He loves to teach and discover new things about marketing and how it can better improve the needs of the consumers by using the latest technologies. He is interested in Marketing, Consumer behaviour, International Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Project management and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Associate Professor at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu

Lia holds a bachelor in International Economics, a bachelor in Philosophy, a Master of Management of International Relations and Communitarian Affairs. She completed her PhD in Economics. Her research interests are in the field of Education for Sustainable Development, Entrepreneurial Education, International Business, and  Intercultural Communication. Lia believes that young people are most valuable and contagious. It is by working together, that one can teach and learn at the same time. Lia’s challenge is to find ways to increase their ability to change the world. More knowledge, change in attitudes and new abilities can build up trust, which, in terms, contributes to a proactive approach to social challenges.

Lecturer at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu

Alex has over 14 years of experience in the research and development of complex systems and his area of expertise is innovation management. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and studied Executive Management at Oxford, Entrepreneurship at University of Rochester and Project Management via the EU’s Knowledge Programs. His research interests are in Innovation Management, Decentralized Technologies, Cyber-Social Ecosystems and the Future of Education. Alex likes to contribute to pragmatic projects that have a chance to produce a measurable change in society.

Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Finland

Haaga-Helia’s expertise is focused on entrepreneurship and they have a broad experience with new educational formats. Haaga-Helia will contribute to the elaboration of the two Intellectual Outputs as well as coordinate the learning activity for teachers and educational professionals to empower them to become “companions” of social-cooperative entrepreneurs and build their capacity to foster these competencies in blended and distance/online learning.

Senior Lecturer at Haaga Helia University of Applied Science

Maija holds PhD in entrepreneurship. She is currently working as a Senior lecturer and researcher at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education. In addition, Maija has worked in the variety of research projects and networks both in Finland and abroad. She wishes that young people will continue to find social entrepreneurship as one form of being an entrepreneur.

Senior Lecturer at Haaga Helia University of Applied Science

Rakhshanda holds a Ph.D. in Business and Management and teaches International Business at Haaga-Helia, Finland. She is passionate about sustainable development and socially driven businesses and she believes that businesses have the ability to solve the wicked problems that our world is facing. She believes that the Higher Education Institutions should play a stronger role in developing social entrepreneurship competences among the students. She has published in several refereed journals like Applied Energy, Sustainability, Journal of Innovation and Sustainable Development among others. She has acted as a reviewer for journals like Sustainability, International Journal of Services Technology and Management, Environment Development and Sustainability, Societies etc.

Senior Europa Sociedad Limitada (Kveloce), Spain

Senior Europa (Kveloce I+D+I – KVC) is an SME specialized in the development, implementation, and exploitation of R&D projects and their funding, with a history of more than 10 years. Due to its background and experience in business and exploitation plans as well as knowledge transfer, Kveloce will lead the Quality Evaluation and Ethics of the project and ensure that the project will generate a great socio-economic impact throughout its lifecycle. Additionally, Kveloce will also lead one of the tasks in Intellectual Output 1 and participate in the rest of output-related activities.

Julia’s professional and research career has focused on management on research projects, professional practice, and the relation between investment in research and productivity. Her experience is focused on manager and control on financial and administrative issues on co-funded projects. She also has developed a long career as a business consultant for private companies.

Researcher at Kveloce I+D+i

Mireia’s professional and research career has focused on research projects, professional practice and teaching in different aspects of economics and labour inclusion, considering skills development (lifelong learning, capacity building), digitalisation and working conditions. In fact, in her post-doctoral fellow (Torres Quevedo funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation) she explored the potential of the Silver Economy for the Spanish SMEs. As a researcher, she participated in more than 20 research projects dealing with social innovation, digitalisation, citizens’ empowerment, co-design, co-creation, wellbeing and QoL improvement, etc. The transfer of knowledge and analysis of business models are present in all her research projects as part of her commitment to open science.

Research Management Technique R+D at Kveloce I+D+i

With a multidisciplinary profile, Lorena has worked for more than 3 years in public administrations and completed an IVACE scholarship in Morocco as a market analyst. Through the associations she has been part of, she has gained experience in social entrepreneurship and in the creation of new business projects in rural areas. She loves exploring new business development through the Business model Canvas and analysing different market scenarios. Lorena takes a great interest in innovation in rural areas, entrepreneurship, social innovation, new technologies and digital business. 

Gestionet Multimedia, S.L. (Gestionet), Spain

Gestionet has been in the market for 20 years. Gestionet has a mission to transmit values, content and work on skills and abilities through digital solutions based on gaming methodologies. GESTIONET will lead technical activities related to the digitalization of MyDigiCoop tools and will be responsible for the technical quality regarding usability, usefulness, and, also, accessibility of MyDigiCoop outputs due to their wide experience in the conceptualization and development of technological solutions.

R&D Innovation Project Manager at Gestionet

Juan David is a versatile engineer who has dedicated his professional career to the management of construction, technology and sustainability projects. Many of these projects are in the European and Latin American environment. He is a civil engineer from the Javeriana University in Cali, Colombia and did his MBA at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He has a great entrepreneurial spirit and currently focuses his efforts on developing software projects that facilitate learning for entrepreneurs, energy management and sustainability in the society of the future.
ACEEU (Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities), Germany

ACEEU is an international quality assurance body dedicated to advancing higher education by supporting universities in their transformation process towards becoming more entrepreneurial and engaged. With its knowledge and experience on both quality assurance and entrepreneurship skills development, ACEEU will ensure a high-quality training approach for
social-cooperative entrepreneurship. Besides leading two tasks in Intellectual Output 2, ACEEU is also in charge of the dissemination and exploitation tasks of the project (offline and online).

Executive Manager at ACEEU

Adisa is dedicated to evaluating, promoting and celebrating universities’ commitment to engagement and entrepreneurship through ACEEU flagship initiatives: ACEEU Accreditation, Triple E Awards and other various international cooperation projects. She further carries out research and project work into university-business cooperation at Münster University of Applied Sciences. Adisa is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s alumna of a program Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE). This program’s unique keen focus on quality assurance, policy development, engagement and reforms in higher education was instrumental in shaping Adisa’s expertise in university management for instigating institutional change.

EU Projects Coordinator at ACEEU

Aventia is involved in numerous Erasmus+ Projects within the cross-cutting theme of digitalization, sustainability, social-cooperative entrepreneurship, and creative industries in higher education and vocational education. She holds a Bachelor of Education in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and is a World Learning – Fulbright Global UGRAD alumna. Aventia also holds a Master of Arts in National & Transnational Studies: Literature, Culture, Language with a focus on English Linguistics. By combining her academic competence, practical skills learned in ACEEU and a true passion for education, Aventia is determined to gain a deeper understanding of what is needed to further promote the Third Mission of universities.

Junior International Project Officer at ACEEU

Yu holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in English Philology. She is passionate about adult education in the field of language and culture. She has worked for five years as a study consultant and courseware designer in the education industry. She believes that education is not about teaching people to do useless work but to become more valuable, and then reap the happiness from their own value and live a happy life. With her education and teaching experience, she is dedicated to creating greater value in promoting the third mission of universities which not only benefits individuals but wider society.
